I think if you're that tall there's probably just a group of women out there that seek out dudes like you. When people say "girls prefer tall guys" they generally mean guys that are common above average heights. 6'10" is not common and can very easily be intimidating to most girls when most of them are over a foot shorter than you. Someone who's 8 inches shorter than you would still be considered pretty tall and they wouldn't struggle with day-to-day life as much as most things (like clothing and automobiles) would still cater to them.
