My absolute highest was back in Emerald with the Regis. I don't know why that game had a vendetta against me, but I remember chucking 60+ Ultra Balls. A fucking Poke Ball is what caught two of them.

I regularly use up 60+balls per Pokemon once I hacked in 900 beast balls and made a vow to catch every single Pokemon in them. Some take hundreds. I don't look forward to catching the tapus in them.

I probably threw hundreds of Beast Balls at Necrozma if we're counting multiple attempts, since I only had the one's leftover from the Ultra Beast stuff. I also spent two hours throwing Ultra Balls at Kyurem in White 2 who just kept struggling itself to death.

Necrozma isn't an ultra beast and has the lowest catch rate possible like many legends. I'm only attempting it because I got access to 900 beast balls. For me it was Mewtwo in HG/SS. I had used hundreds of pokeballs to catch it.

I was dumb and thought Necrozma was a UB. I think it struggled to death twice before I realized my error, so probably well above 75.
