Apparently other people are reporting this as well.

But it looks like it won't mean anything unless Trump gets impeached first. You can't use the indictment on him unless he's being impeached first. The indictment is what you'd use to get him removed. That's why it's sealed.

I heard about this the other day when that campaign firm was raided by the FBI. Supposedly Ryan, Manafort, and a bunch of other high level R's are tied to it.

Just another liberal wet dream to cope with losing the election. Cause God forbid the libs take losing like an adult.

What's the logic in publishing evidence in what could be one of the biggest scandals in the nations history? The FBI and the other agencies conducting investigations need to get something of this magnitude absolutely spot on.

An indictment is used to prosecute someone and you can't prosecute them while they're the president unless they're being impeached.

Congressmen have a similar version of this protection that prevents them from being arrested / convicted of anything while congress is in session. They can like murder a bunch of people on the way to voting for the budget and they can't be arrested for it until the day is over.

I don't really trust her. She also said Ryan and McConnell are on tape talking about laundering Russian money a month ago. Something like that would have been corroborated by an actual news source by now.

a big policy reason for them tho is so the person doesn't attempt to flee. Leaking it's existence could be enough for that.

Of course I don't really think the president will flee, but whatever.

I really hope this is true

This is actually a really, really interesting story no matter the outcome.

Mensch and Taylor have both apparently been advised by their lawyers that if this is false, it could be career ending, but they're firmly sticking to it. So, if it turns out false, they've put themselves on the line.

If it turns out correct, I don't even need to expand on that.

Odds definitely fall heavily on the side of it being false, but it makes me wonder a little why anyone would stake their career on a piece of news they know isn't fact. I'm not holding my breath over this, but I'm interested in following the story.
