Played Bully: Scholarship Edition. Didn't like it (though I'm sure this was mostly due to me playing it on PC, where it's horrid garbage).

Played Yooka-Laylee. Not good.

Played LittleBigPlanet 2. Meh.

Played some of Zelda II. Trash.

Playing Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Badly designed and kinda boring.

Is this it for me and video games?

Some of these might be actually good (such as Bully), but for most of those it's like saying you're not into literature because you couldn't make yourself finish 50 Shades of Grey.

Also, I should probably mention I started playing Horizon: Zero Dawn back in March, and I liked it!

But then I took a break from it until now, and I still like it for the most part, but I feel like it's not as much as I did in the beginning.

I'm getting old (34 now) and I literally havent played any game since I started working 60 hour work weeks. But even in my free time I force myself to play, I just turn it off after 5 minutes.

Aside from the fact that I can't imagine working a 60 hour week (kudos), I can definitely see myself heading in the same direction. I'm okay with it, it's just kinda weird.

I feel like all of them but Yooka-Laylee were received pretty well? Maybe Zelda II not so much today, but eh.

I don't know why, but this scares me. I secretly hope I always enjoy video games, until the day I die. Even if I play less, it's nice to know it's something I can turn to for enjoyment. And I damn well wanna teach my kids that Mario Kart ways.

Pretty much. I was looking for something to play, and Bully was first in my list of unplayed Steam games. Yooka-Laylee was because I got a free copy as a backer. Midnight Club and LBP is me trying to finish my PS3 backlog.

Horizon was something that I was just interested in at release.

But you're the only one that seems to take issue with the topic.

I don't mean to be an armchair psychologist, but if I had to guess based off your posts in this topic, I'd think that you're perhaps self-conscious about playing video games at your age, whatever that may be.

If that's the case, know that I don't mean to say that games are something people should grow out of at all. I'm just saying it seems like it may be happening to me is all.

I never tried to prove your personal feelings wrong. Its your own opinion and I respect it. All I said was that you're in the wrong place because you're posting on a video game message board when you clearly stated you don't like video games anymore.

Play more games. You'll find something to like. Especially if you pick from good games and not bad games or games that have aged horribly.

Or just accept the fact that you may need a break every once in a while. I tend to take months long breaks from games, but then a game I'm interested in comes out and I play it obsessively for a while.

I think a break is what I'm gonna end up doing soon.

I'm graduating from college shortly so I'm probably just trying to rush through games before I have to be busy with other stuff, leading to me not enjoying them as much.

I enjoyed MGR and what little I played of Bayonetta, so I might give it a shot. I know it's a shooter as opposed to a hack-and-slash, but I'm assuming it's still got the Platinum edge.

I'm guessing it wasn't you though, that'd be quite a coincedence.

Take a break. I go through droughts with video games where I pick one up and it's a chore to play. After few weeks to a couple months, something (a movie, book, TV show, a brand new game that actually looks exciting to play) will spark the urge again. Like everything else, doing too much of one thing will burn you out. I'm 32, btw, still love games, but I've had several of those "I'm giving them up" moments.

This. You just need to find some new games that interest you like you said you had with horizon. Up until August last year I pretty much stopped too but there's been a constant stream of games since then I've all really enjoyed(for the most part)
