Well the article is saying that they didn't go out of their way at all and it was a lazy effort and just lip service.

I don't personally care about COD either way. But just because you say your game is diverse doesn't automatically mean it's pulled off well. Especially after Battlefield One pulled it off well.

Yes ,however just like with Polygon you give certain games a free pass because you enjoy them.

The diversity in Battlefield is equally as forced and shoehorned in as what we saw in the trailer however you're willing to give Battlefield the pass because it will inevitably be the better game

The article isn't claiming they got their cake though. As I said just because a game has diversity doesn't automatically mean they've done it well. What's wrong with that statement? Has COD WW2 done it well or not? You seem to say that it hasn't so why has the article got you so cranky? Some strawman argument that they're being hypocritical with no proof? Someone could want more diversity in something and still criticize poor attempts at it, no?

Yes it is actually, them praising IW when again the diversity was just as forced and shoehorned in as with CoD WW2 and they're willing to give it a free pass because they enjoy that one more.
