Santa Claus is the way he is because of Coca-Cola. Easter Bunny did not have such an ad campaign.

Maybe it's not about any specific bunny, it just represents every bunny. All bunnies like to deed, deeding leads to fertile eggs that have now been impregnated into your basket and you don't know what the sob who did it looks like. Pretty sure that's what easter means.

I'm starting to think that's a myth. There were depictions of Santa from the 1800s which had him wearing red. I think Coca-Cola more or less solidified that version as the accepted one though.

Honestly, it's probably for the best if there isn't an official Easter Bunny design. People are now debating now over what race Santa should be and one person on CNN even proposed that he should be a penguin so that you didn't run into that problem of what he looked like.

Maybe we'd get someone arguing that the Easter Bunny should canonically be female and a practicing Wiccan to remind kids that the celebration of spring has non-Christian origins.
