Nope, of course not. The ammo system was sorta messed up though due to enemies dropping infinitely more ammo for the weapons you had equipped at the moment, but universal ammo is just insane.

Universal Ammo isn't a big deal, you got plenty of ammo in 2 anyway. Other than that, I'm not seeing the problem.

Universal ammo isn't huge because I just used 2 weapons anyways (cutter and force gun), but is that all that's bad about this?

I don't get all the negativity surrounding this. Dead Space has always been about jump scares and action. It's more of the same stuff that was in the previous games.
