I can understand putting him on Uncanny X-Men. That might actually be a good idea, since what Uncanny X-Men needs to do is be more of a traditional superhero team book again and not just Cylops be a jerk and Magneto/Namor be neutered. But to give Bendis the power over the direction of the X-line is just a terrible terrible idea, especially when for the first time in ten years or something the majority of the line is actually really good. WatXM, UXF, X-Factor are fantastic, and Uncanny X-men, Legacy, and Astonishing vary from decent to good month to month.
A continuity erasing reboot is also a terrible terrible idea. It was a dumb idea for DC and it's a dumb idea for Marvel. Maybe they'll sell a ton of books because PEOPLE ARE STUPID, but it's going to be bad for them down the line. If they want to do new #1's with new creative teams... cool, whatever, just don't erase the continuity.
Finally caught up on the last three or so weeks of comics. Really liked GLC, GL New Guardians, Batman, Batwoman, Aquaman, and ResMan. Enjoyed the rest of the comics on my pull list, even the ones that were in danger of coming off my pull list, I actually liked Batgirl, Red Lanterns was good and I'm interested in what they may be setting up (I have a feeling it's probably the return of Krona, which would actually be kinda cool), even Firestorm was entertaining.

Bendis: "just because i don't respond to a rumor doesn't make it true. it means i enjoy the circus. :) what i am doing after AVX is so much crazier than anyone thinks "
Anyyyyways, I personally doubt he's taking over the X line. Gillen's run is still young, Aaron's super young, hope the current books get a few years in 'em.
Though, that said I'm not sure how long I expect the Schism to last, anything could happen in X land over the next few years.

Alright I'm already loving this movie. More first impressions:
Hal Jordan is Hal Jordan, he's awesome. And his brief bickering with Batman was hilarious. WALLY WEST. Superman being straight up badass. WALLY WEST. And Batman of course being Kevin Conroy and Batman and hell yes.
Also Cyborg? Interesting.

That's what I meant. It's even the same voice Wally had in the DCAU. So I just naturally assumed it was Wally, even more so because it seemed like this movie was kind of taking from the same universe they used in Crisis on Two Earths. Which had Wally and Hal. But nope. They just HAD to change it to Barry Allen to coincide with this stupid reboot. It's even poisoned the animated features. Makes me mad.
But whatever. It was still a fantastic movie. Definitely how Tower of Babel SHOULD have been done.

It's Bart in the YJ comic I think. Well this weekend has the Green Lantern animated series too and the DC shorts do start this weekend so there will be some stuff to see.
Seems like there will be all kinds of stuff. The one preview I saw had stuff like Lego Batman, some claymation thing and Teen Titans. That live action Blue Beetle thing should be around this year at some point. There's some short with Supergirl and 2 other female DC characters that's 1 minute per episode too.
It's Supergirl, Batgirl, and either Wonder Girl or Donna, or both I guess. I honestly have no idea about her. And they're directed by the PPG/Foster's Home/MLP person.
Plastic Man shorts have also been announced, which should be pretty interesting!

Back before this reboot had started, if someone were to tell me a Justice League book written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Jim Lee would be bad, I would tell them to get their mental health checked.
And then I would be apologizing to them right now for doubting their prediction.
HOW THE HELL is this book so bad? It's just... Ugh. I hope the next arc is better, where it's supposed to take place in the present.

Well that's Morrison. I would never compare anything Geoff Johns has done to something Morrison has done. There's just no competition there.
But I will compare this crap to what Geoff Johns HAS done, like Teen Titans? Justice Society? Those were fantastic. And not even the artwork here is up to par with what I've expected of Jim Lee. This is just really bad.

What? I already know that. You are aware of my absolute love of Francis Manapul, yes?
And I don't hate Barry Allen either. He's a great character. I just want Wally West back god damn it. The two can share the role of Flash, it would be great.

Superboy is good. I REALLY like Teen Titans. Red Hood also.
Lobdell is so fun.
Don't forget the huge crossover coming in May.
And JL isn't bad, it's just super, SUPER deconstructed. I expect it to start getting a lot better next month. I think tomorrow's issue has like 30 story pages, too.
The epilogue to the Darkseid story with Pandora was set in the present, so I think we're ready for the timeskip. I could be wrong though, as I haven't read the solicits.
And yeah, I think Johns is just being stretched a little thin. Green Lantern is still awesome and Aquaman is very solid.
