Eh, JRPGs have a number of strong points, they're just horribly outclassed by WRPGs, so that's not a bad thing.

And yes, Nintendo needs to be knocked on its ass. Wii U is probably going to do that just fine. We don't want that happen in ways that will teach them wrong lessons >.>;

the 3DS has already done a little of it to some extent, word is that their investors are now getting uppity about how they should get into mobile phone games, and that's a wrong lesson in of itself, it's bad enough that everything they make now has to have a touch screen in it without going to a platform that uses touch screen only...

there's still probably 5-10 million people that will buy a nintendo console no matter how bad it winds up being, I figure you can take the gamecube userbase and assume a third of them were disgusted by how bad nintendo has gotten this generation or weren't the hardcore crowd to begin with since that was an actual good system. from there it all depends on whether or not the non-gaming stay at home moms and grandparents that made the wii so successful buy into the U as well

It's certainly possible, but I see the Wii as more of a fad, and worse, a waning fad.

I used to be on the Xenobladers' side, but recently I just can't help but take NoA's side. They are trolling so hard and so masterfully. I still don't understand why people care so much about this game. If it's just an anti-Nintendo thing, that's fine, but people are treating it like the only game that matters when this fall has the best lineup in a very long time.
