So the Guardians decide that Hal being impulsive and disrespectful of authority makes him too dangerous to serve in the Corps (despite the manifold times he's saved the world)...and their solution is to give the ring back to Space Hitler.

Dumb plot twist is dumb, but I guess they had to one-up the painfully stupid one in the GL movie post-credits one, huh?

Yeah. It all happened so fast. I have no idea how this will play out.

I'm pretty sure the Guardians' thought process was "Oh, s***, this guy could literally MURDER US if he felt like it, get him outta here," but the fact that they don't go for the guy who has openly declared war on them in the past is kind of hypocritical. Then again, he was just as confused as everyone else at that point.

I find myself hoping that the "New Guardians" series DC is launching in August turns out to be 100% literal. Screw these guys.

I think we can safely say that David Finch's "The Dark Knight" is going to be the shortest volume in the history of comics at 3 issues.

Hell, it's even still got a "to be continued" at the bottom, like he's completely ignoring the reboot other than the renumbering.

Well...guess we'll see The Dark Knight V2 start in September!

I like his art when he's actually FOCUSED. I already went over this in the last topic, but he's got some really awesome stuff out there.

But I can't take him seriously when Wolverine looks like this.



This whole arc seemed more of a joke to him, because the characters often looked like goofy idiots, and a lot of the time the artwork was just a cluster f*** of whatever he could fit into the panels. I'd say it's some of his worst work, but I don't hate him. Like I said, he's really good when he wants to be, I just wish that was all the time.

I kind of gave up on trying to keep up with comics like a year ago because I would get really bored with the filler between arcs. That and the marvel events were just getting overdone and bad.

Was looking more for Marvel, but DC would be okay (just I never really dived into the DC Universe, so I don't really know much).

Really liked X-Men: Annihilation, and have read mostly everything from the start of Civil War to the end of Siege.

Actually, read Planet Hulk. That was actually what got me re-interested in comics back then.

Then Civil War, WWH, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, and Siege just was just too many big events happening one after the other.

man I really think this reboot is gonna bomb

everyone is sick of these universe-changing reboots. I mean big events are pretty unpopular and people only read them to keep up with the big changes, and I think this giant reboot is gonna change too much and people will be fed up.

I'm hearing nothing but hate at the shop. NOBODY is looking forward to it. they're pissed the status quo is changed and that their favorite books are being cancelled and that DC just doesn't seem to care

DC does care, but they have faith that fans will get into it once it happens. They can't just back out of it now, it's too late.

Honestly, people need to chill the f*** out and just wait and see, there's a good chance this relaunch could be awesome. And then yeah, it might suck, and if they continue to dick around with my feelings for Cassandra Cain, I might have to go off on them.
