I don't think they did though. Most are more interesting or at least the same (in my opinion on characters). Dissidia didn't do anything to harm my opinion on those characters since they were so little fleshed out to begin with, and with major characters already fleshed out I tend to regard Dissidia as "alternate universe" and ignore it if I don't like it.
