I, Alec, of House Trevelyan, 006th of my name, Warden of the Bar and Protector of the Duct Tape, do hereby renounce all claim to User of the Year, and all associated lands, titles, and retainers, and commence the final anti-rally.
In what should be a joyous time, I must come before you and denounce the treachery of "th3l3fty".
Board 8 knows that I am nothing if not dutiful. For months, I have served loyally as a tallier. I have done all that I can to prop up the crumbling vestiges of this once great contest. This was once a great contest, and yet now it is morally bankrupt and overrun by petty squabbles and abuse of power. Tyranny runs rampant, not just in the tyranny of the bureaucrats who hold the reigns, but also the tyranny of the majority who would stand in the way of all that is good and right. All hope seemed lost, yet I endured, sacrificing my time and self respect in order to try to return this contest to at least a shadow of what it once was.
All that I asked in return was to be given what was mine by right: the record for lowest points ever in the final round of User of the Year.
For years, I have proven myself on the fields of anti-rallying. In 2010, it took the combined powers of my anti-rallying and DSRage's rallying to eliminate me. In the last two contests, I have won testicles from both Wigs and ctes who underestimated my ability to gather votes against myself. There is only one more adventure for me to conquer before I can die in peace. An anti-rally on Epop's greatest stage.
This goal was known to many, and had been repeatedly stated across the board. And yet, before the blood of Round 7 was cold, th3l3fty did conspire to deny me my rightful claim. Despite knowing full well that I was at work and would not be around to get this anti-rally started at the beginning of the match, th3l3fty did willing begin the final match early, robbing me of my full potential for a record setting performance.
This is too far. th3l3fty is a sinner in the eyes of gods and men, defying all rites, laws and morals.
We must make this right.
