I would isolate very hot machines (that don't require dupe interaction) in rooms with walls and floors made out of something that's very thermally insulated to keep the heat in the room. Without a means cooling, the machines in such a room will eventually overheat. The smaller the room, the quicker they'll overheat. It's better to build them outside your base and let all the natural tiles absorb the heat.
