Since Tesla's existence, only ~827,000 Tesla Vehicles are registered with the US as of January 1, 2021. Percentage of Tesla cars in the US, registered, owned and driven in California (through January 1, 2021) 46% So nearly half of the the 827,000 Tesla's are registered in California. Tesla was created in 2003, has been selling cars since 2008 with it's Roadster & Model S.
