Okay, so this Fandom bullshit isn't going away and honestly I don't think the orignal plan for this topic is going to work. Trying to listen to everything twice and then start the topic might take too long; frankly, the way Fandom is going, I don't expect this place to be around long enough for me to make three full trips through the list. Even if the board technically exists in the future, some of these songs are pretty political, so there's pretty decent odds of the topic itself being banned. If not now, then whenever Fandom really stats cracking down. So, fuck it, we're changing everything.

END OF THE WORLD RULE CHANGES

1: Bonus Noms!

If you find your way to this topic and want to add more songs, then nominations are officially open until... whenever the bottom 50 songs have been eliminated. We'll say that will probably be in early May. Rankings start April 29th, around ten eliminations per day, noms lock after 50 eliminations.

1a: If you used 15 nominations, you may have one extra song!

1b: If you used between 11 and 14 nominations, you may add until you reach 15 noms.

1c: 10 or less allows you five extra noms! This includes people with 0 used nominations, though I don't anticipate anyone else appearing.

(I would prefer additional nominations be no longer than 7 minutes. There's a hard cap of no longer than 10 minutes.)

Spreadsheet of current nominations. I'll try to add a second tab sorted by nominator so it's easier to see how many you used, but that has to wait until the morning.

2: Songs will only get two Ratings; an Initial Rating and a Final Rating. Sorry, but we're speeding things up. Hopefully, the extra noms ease the sting a bit.

3: The topic is going to be significantly more "live" than usual. Since songs tend to rise and fall hundreds of spaces, actually posting eliminations in order is going to be impossible; so... you can expect songs to have a Final Rating and we won't know exactly where that places them on the list until everything is finalized. (Rankings have always been fairly provisional, but expect them to be even more so this time.)

4: There are a few extra songs I'm going to talk about for personal reasons, so please do not nominate any of the following tracks:

5: No promises that this will finish, though we'll try our best. Between the forums being on borrowed time, my emotional spikes making it hard to stay motivated, and the volatile nature of some subjects... well, we'll see what happens.

Since you don't come here, and stated you really wanted more nomination slots, I'll tag you directly. Everyone else... eh, hopefully anyone who truly wanted more songs finds their own way. (Honestly, I'll tag everyone when the ranking starts and they'll have a few days left then anyway.)

Apologies. I know this isn't how anyone wanted things to go; scaling back to only two listens instead of three sucks, but I want to get things started ASAP. And adding nominations after they've been locked is stupid, but I'm treating this as likely my final topic and I want everyone to have a chance to get a final song in. Allowing noms after the topic has started is really stupid, but I don't want to divert any attention from VGMC & I also don't want any further delays, so... well, whatever. I'm the one in charge tonight and I say this is what's happening.
