Describing a fart or retelling the tale is not political. The noise, the smell, the reactions. Those are just dry facts. Well I guess the dryness would vary person to person, but facts nonetheless. You could compare diets to fart frequencies without it being political. It largely turns political when the word "should" pops up. They can recommend a diet but if they start getting preachy on what you should eat, that sounds political. It'd also be political if people discussed the appropriateness of farting in a crowded elevator. That's not to say all opinions are political. Discussing your enjoyment or distaste for farts is just an opinion devoid of politics. If your distaste for farts ends at the tip of your nose then that's fine but influencing public policy or even cultural expectations sounds very political. Now on the reverse, attempting to increase the number of farts could not only be political but also hornyposting depending on your motivation. In fact even those semi-dry facts mentioned earlier could qualify as hornyposting if you're overly focused on the source of said farts.
