Games tend to be spread out enough that that's not an issue. Pretty rare to play multiple games in a single day. Load management is a major thing in the NBA, and players often play three or even more games a week. There absolutely is a benefit to resting some days, both officially and unofficially, and going all out one day could easily have a deleterious impact on your play a couple days later. Porter was a bench player, but for starters major minutes for 82 games a year takes a big toll on your body, and that's not even accounting for deep playoff runs potentially pushing that number over a hundred games played. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. ...
