Every time I've used TurboTax, it was free Back when there was the controversy about TurboTax hiding their "free file" option (and subsequently removed it), I tried FreeTaxUSA and they wanted to charge me $20 while ironically enough, TurboTax was/is still free for me Is it like a super basic version or something? I don't know why anyone would pay for it if it's free. Mine was a little more complicated this year because I'm considered a business (lol) and I'd have to buy the $100 version of TT if I stuck with them.
