i've stayed away from the discord stuff due to old man syndrome but it really looks like its inevitable. You guys are bros man.

Still think there should be ONE major official discord and a backup.

It's not too bad to learn. I first joined discord because I was playing an MMO and the guild I joined made joining their discord a requirement (made coordinating raids and things easier).

It's mostly an assortment of chatrooms, similar to being in a group text. You can use animated emojis, gifs etc., much easier than you can on gamefaqs. You can also quote the message you're replying to, leave reaction emojis in response to a post, etc. And the mods can sticky posts if there's info that needs to be referenced often. It's really customizable too
