I hope it gets to the point where people lose all faith in the SC

garbage system anyway

We are going down that road, and the GOP has no one but themselves to blame. This government is built on the idea that everyone is acting in good faith and will play by the rules. Starting in the 90s and culminating with this MAGA cult bullshit, the GOP decided they would cling to power by courting extremists and openly operating in bad faith. Culminating, perhaps, with them openly stealing a SC seat during President Obamas term.

Of course the faith in public institutions is going to erode under those circumstances. And why wouldnt it? When an obviously politicized court is denying women basic decisions about their healthcare and destiny and upholding the destruction of basic freedoms of association and speech, what are we supposed to think?

I believe in the rule of law, and I am not advocating anything other than upholding the rule of law. If we want better courts, we need to vote and make sure Democrats are picking the judges.

But it is ridiculous to think that decades of bad faith governing by the GOP will have no cost. I firmly believe the day is coming when a blue state governor openly ignores the SC-and I wont blame them when they do. The GOP started this cycle, and our entire system of government is in shambles as a result. Starting with an SC that is impossible for non-cult members to have any faith in.
