Pineapples have Bromelain, for example, which is an enzyme that can destroy the nutrients in other foods.
I've also heard that blending bananas with blueberries destroys the nutrients in blueberries...? Therefore making a blueberry banana smoothie not the ideal combo. I think that's what it was anyway.
