I agree being out of the way but within half an hour to a decent city is perfect. It's definitely a nice balance and I much prefer that compared to other situations. It sucks having your payment go up but if you were renting your rent could just as easily be raised each year and you wouldn't be accruing value in your own property. The insurance and property taxes are always going to go up but eventually that house payment will be gone.
