Sure, he's never placed well at top-level tournaments but you know what, I don't compete in those. Back when I used to play more, I'd get regular comments to the effect "You're the best Ike I've ever seen" or whatever, and it's not because I'm just great at the game; it's because nobody plays Ike because the Internet tells them not to.
