Guns break. Guns used in crimes have to be disposed of. And that's the two easiest ones I can think of.

And if new guns aren't being made, because they're banned and there's no market for them anymore, supply for guns used in crimes will eventually reach zero.

Might take a long time, but a ban on guns would halt any new influx of weapons into legal and illegal markets, and that would be a huge initial reduction in gun violence and gun crime numbers.

Notice how there are no more Pintos? Because they stopped making them, and the rest eventually broke down? The same can happen with guns.

A market cannot exist, regardless of demand, if there is no supply to feed the market.
