Not everyone can afford to travel to see them. Also a lot of them will literally be over the ocean or in remote places so getting to see them will be more expensive then just flying to a major city. This doesn't even include places jacking up rates because of the increased volume of people. You also will need to take a lot of time off from work which a lot of people can't do for various reasons.

I was specifically responding to "people are traveling her from another continent to see it." If they live on a different continent then there's a good chance it's a much shorter wait until the next one. And if they are traveling from a different continent, then they are by definition the people who can travel to see it.

But I do agree that anyone who can take the day off of work and reasonably drive to the path should just do it. What's going to happen at work/school that will be as memorable as this?
