Actually all 4 on mine also have a way to self-heal, although they are so strong they might not actually have to use them. Ludger can heal himself with his psychic restoration arte on the sledgehammer. (That also can heal party members via area of effect). It can be enhanced. Thats the nice thing about xillia 2, like 8 out of the game's 9 characters have a method to either heal their-selves, party members around them or the whole party. Along with the mountain of passive skills he can equip ludger is way too good lol. He also has his own super meter where he transforms and that thing damn near makes him invincible.

Orlandu is just busted with all of his options and can do anything. Man can fight, heal, restore MP, status effects. He covers a lot of bases for my get things done jrpg squad.

Fou-lu's advantage is that he can also learn skills in the breath of fire world, and since him and ryu are halfsies all skills he knows ryu also learns, and vice-versa. Ryu is learning the good stuff like healing wind and super combo for fou-lu, lol.

Now velvet comes from a tales of game where like, you don't heal the party in a traditional sense with MP and whatnot (There is actual healing spells spread out across 4 characters you use, but they are kind of meh in the early game). You mostly heal in berseria through break souls and the passive skills you get like dodging to regen HP and whatnot. Velvet has no heal spells at all, but her break souls consuming claw, heaven's claw and hell's claw is like the most busted thing for this game and this lady just will not die, lol. Hurting her just makes her stronger!

Yeah, I like my squad. Nice and busted, but busted in a more fair way. There is definitely way more OP jrpg characters out there I could have used but with this one I think whatever god that is going to die at the end will have a bit of a fair fighting chance.
