I don't really have a "best" friend but I do have a friend who has frequently talked suicide in the past when life has given him lemons, so coming from him, I probably don't bat more than an eyelash. I'd still talk to them. Anyone super serious about suicide is just gonna do it they ain't gonna advertise it. But someone talking about and they don't get any help of any kind might wind up actually doing it one day. For the one who talks about it or advertises it before an attempt I feel just want reassurance people actually care about them --- I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process ...
