I remember when I was getting into speedrunning videos I thought it was super juicy and interesting. Unfortunately outside of the occasional cheater in a game I care about, it just isn't engaging. "This person spliced/peeked/hacked X game to get Y time" and that's the whole video. I don't really care about the reasoning, I just care they stopped. Which, clearly, they did.
