Mad Max and Beetlejuice have a new movie coming out this year. Do those count toward this? If you want to go further back a Godzilla movie just got released. Beetlejuice I would consider a bit of an exception because it was never a franchise, just a single movie. I guess it had the cartoon too. As for mad max, I don't think it will be bad but I think it will disappoint fans. For a franchise that built its reputation on practical effects and car chases there was a decent amount of CG in the trailer. If I had to guess, it will ultimately stand as the second worst above the original movie, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. It's also worth pointing out that being the second worst Mad Max movie still means that you're pretty good movie. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
