I have a good friend who is a high school teacher and he's continually astonished by how frequently his coworkers complain about their job. He had a prior career before that, so he has a much better sense of what the rest of the working world is like so it bugs him. Was your prior job really that miserable? Or did you have a bunch of miserable people around you making you think that it was worse than it was?
