I served a lot of Trumpers when I worked in a deli. More often they're just dumb and kept in fear by conservative news and facebook algorithms. "Biden spent a trillion dollars to give Mexicans condos and guns and he took them from orphanages and there's a pedo satanic cult!"

And combine that with "Oh no Trump didn't mean it when he said explicitly evil things! How could he? I don't want to hurt people, and he represents me, so clearly he can't be bad, because I'm not bad."

The shit they believe is heinously stupid, but I don't believe most of them are malicious. If you were lied to your entire life, you would probably believe some heinous shit too.
