Gamers lost their minds and accused her of using her looks to climb the professional ladder as she didn't really have any credentials outside of surface level IGN-tier gaming journalism. She was somehow blamed for God of War Ragnarok being delayed and got harassed by chuds. After all of that it turned out she wasn't actually hired as a writer and had nothing to do with the development of the game outside of an extremely minor accessibility consultant role which almost amounts to being listed under "special thanks" in the credits. It's also pretty stupid because she isn't the person who followed that career path.
