They have much higher build/ink quality than Bic / cheapo brands. I own at least some pens from all the major Japanese Stationary Manufacturers. For Erasable Pen's, I prefer Pilot FriXion line. https://pilotpen.us/FindBrand I'm fine with (Ballpoint, Gel, or Roller Ball) type pens, each type has it's PRO(s)/CON(s). I really don't care for Felt Tip or Fountain Pens.
