It's often used in an unintelligent manner, but in a case like this where one side is openly supporting Israel and the other is saying they don't while still very much supporting them behind closed doors, it is perfectly correct to be calling out both sides. When one side is trying to starve refugees and the other is trying to stop weapons transfers to the people bombing the refugees, its safe to say that both sides arent the same.
