City > Asylum > Origins > Knight >>>>>>>>>> Kill the Justice League

Arkham City. Perfect balance of Freedom, Predator Missions, and Combat. Not sure if it is technically Open World or not, but the fact you can get almost anywhere in a minute or 2 is how Open World should be done if it is.

I would give Arkham Asylum 2nd place. Only thing it is missing is the freedom City had. It also had arguably the best Predator battles of the series. Did have the least fluid controls of the 4 however, as they were still being perfected.

Origins is next. Had arguably the best boss fights. Had some glitches though. I remember if you quick travelled to a certain spot, you would always be punched by someone before you could do anything. Also didn't like the progression of achievements. Hope you get the most out of predator missions!

Arkham Knight was okay. Didn't really like the Batmobile all that much. The developers outright lying about the Arkham Knight not being Jason Todd and the PC version being horribly broken on release (although it got fixed) drags it down a lot.

Although not a Batman game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set in the same universe and is officially a spinoff, so I'll mention it, although only to bash it... The fact the game outright retcons the deaths of Captain Boomerang and King Shark and makes the Arkham Deadshot a Earth 2 version so that the playable Deadshot can look like Will Smith already shows the game has no respect for the source material when 2 of the 4 primary members should be dead and another isn't the same as the one we are used to fighting. Being a Looter Shooter that is using the "games as a service model" is also terrible, as is how the game treats all of the Justice League members besides Wonder Woman I guess who still died easier than she should have. Batman was treated particularly bad though. There is no way Arkham Batman + Fear Gas + Allowed to Kill would lose to these wannabes, particularly when further augmented by Brainiac. The fact his final boss fight is ultimately reduced to a big thing that doesn't move that you shoot is just terrible. What Harley Quinn says before killing him makes me want to vomit, particularly the part about Batman causing "emotional damage" when that is all she herself has ever caused prior to the game. There is more to be sad about how disrespectful the game is, particularly toward Arkham Batman, but I don't want to talk about it any longer.
