I have yet to see an accusation of this nature levied at me because of some old movie I like because it happens to have a racist or sexist joke in it. We all know it happened. We shrug and move on.

I like Dirty Harry and Gran Torino. No one calls me racist (or in DHs case, fascist) for it.

Wasn't gran torino actually a anti racist message. Clints character starts off racist but that kid and by extension his family grows on him.

Watch some of the special features on the DVD if you got it. Clint has a segment on talking their people and culture and how they went out of their way to get real people from that culture instead of actors that where just passable looking
