Topic | Is Kefka a well written character? |

My main problem with him is that it's not made completely clear whether he was planning to betray Gestahl. He does talk to himself in the lab about wanting to become a god, but in the Floating Continent scene, I kinda got the vibe that it was a spur of the moment thing where he freaked out at seeing his own blood which caused him to get really mad and absorb the Warring Triad. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene, but there's a quick bit with Gestahl and Kefka entering the Sealed Gate just before the Floating Continent rises, where Gestahl orders Kefka to hurry up and Kefka is visibly irate at it. Not the most amazing foreshadowing in the world, but it does illustrate that Kefka doesn't take kindly to being ordered around at that point. --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ...
