Go to a community-based substance abuse program. They're (almost always) free, and there's no ongoing obligation. Not all of them are live-in rehab; they're not going to diagnose you and then lock you on a farm for 3 months or whatever bullshit Dr Phil pushes. Hell I drink a bottle of vodka every night and I still go to these things because I almost always take something away from them. Hearing other people's stories can be very enlightening. This is good advice. On the off chance you do get in some kind of ward situation, make sure to sign the form that says it is voluntary, as you retain more rights that way.
