TopicDecision to cancel the FL Dem Primary backfires; GOP flips local elections.

Background: The Dem primary in Florida was cancelled, making Biden the de-facto winner. As a result of this combined with local races being scheduled on the day the Dem primary would have been, voters that would've turned out did not, resulting in no downballot push for Dem-endorsed candidates in local elections.

I don't like to source twitter (which has a few examples) but here's a taste of how well the FL Dem's party strategy worked out from Axios;

Worth noting that one of the big reasons FL went red in '22 by such large margins was the DNC giving up on them entirely and funneling money elsewhere since Dems came up short in several consecutive cycles. This is less an affect of the state's voters and more than Florida Dems have continually made comical mistakes, up to and including incumbent senator Bill Nelson having virtually no Hispanic outreach in his (narrowly lost) 2018 race. This decision seems to further justify completely cutting the cord on the state since they continue to be woefully incompetent.
