Topic	Where you alive in the 80s?

My first memories of major events are the U.S. Hockey team beating Soviet Union in Lake Placid in early 1980 and then a few months later Mount St Helens erupting in May of 1980. Very vivid memories of both. Other things too but those were the first ones of big stories. That Hockey Rink is about 2.5 hours away from me. I've been there, you would be surprised how small the venue is. The pass that crosses into Lake Placid, is dotted with the Sky Jumps. Fun fact: The Lake you see in Lake Placid is actually Mirror Lake.
