It's really not that bad and the gameplay more than makes up for any shortcomings the story has.

If you want to experience the game and not experience the ending, play up til Marauder Shields, die and pretend that was the ending

I do plan to play it but I"ll probably have to start from the first game(how ironic huh?) before I play it because I forgot a lot of it since I last played it when it was released. Games are fun but I was burned out so its why I stopped. I'll have to figure out how to play up to that point without getting burned out....

and Mass Effect 2 gives me panic attacks because of the suicide mission bit which makes me really anxious about how not to let my party die lol
