There will always be those who wouldn't mind paying for a smoother console experience even if only a handful of games like FF16 would take advantage of it.

I'll probably consider getting a PS5 pro, but more than likely not at release. I got a PS4 pro a little over 5 months after it first released just so something like nioh 1 did not look like dog-water when playing in performance mode and I never regretted it (that, and there was a trade-up promo gamestop deal going towards it for around 200 dollars at the time I decided to go for it), so when it comes to a PS5 pro it all depends on how many more forced ray-tracing games that craps on performance like with FF16 we'd be getting from mid 2024 on up).
