Apparently idk what their pay is but I heard a cop say he had been trying to get a correctional officer to switch over but he understood why he would cause he made more money at the prison.

As it is thr starting rate is problem 35k now it was 32 when I hired on but you get a raise every year up to your 6th year working there. Ontop of raises the state government approved which in my 4 years we got 2 or 3 2% raises.

I used to lean conservative because they tend to be nicer to us but our Democrat governor hasn't been that bad for us. So when he comes up for election I'll likely vote for him. The republican wanting to go against him seems like a real piece of work
is like prison work, you consider safer than regular cop, less work..etc...?
