Hes saying china controls the algorithms to try to influence the election.

In the same vein that others suggested that china uses it to destabilize their enemies and therefore will never share the tech.

The real problems are the key loggers and other such potential security breaches, because people are fucking idiots.

Of those 150 million how many of those do you think are government employees or work in civil infrastructure like power or gas mains?

Think they never log in on a work machine, or unsafely connect private devices to their networks?

It is a massive potential security issue.

Im against the ban personally, but not being honest about the situation helps nothing.

TikTok has been banned on government and other sensitive data devices for a year now. That's completely valid to me. Other developed countries have done the same. No other country has done a population wide ban though and it feels weird that the country that prides itself on its freedom is banning something before other nanny state developed countries that havent.
