I am so sorry for your loss. It is one of the downsides of pets/life. I also lost some beloved family members recently. One was a 15 year old dog, but the other was only about 7.

One day the 7 year old was energetic as always jumping, and spinning, but had a little cough, then the next day they were almost lethargic so we took them to the emergency vet, but they could only put them down. They both died within a week of each other.

Then a few days after that a family friend a very nice older man who would talk to me when he walked his dog died suddenly too. It has been a very depressing few weeks.
That's terrible. I'm sorry for your losses as well.

My grandma died in December and my mom and I are still sorting out her estate. She had some kind of cancer and couldn't eat solid food for a while, so Chicky's issues with eating this past week were painful to see for that reason too.
