You can try to hide behind semantics like Rowling and her "your source doesn't say they were the first and they didn't destroy all of it" to claim you aren't defending her but when your every action is to derail the topic away from Rowling then defending is exactly what you are doing. You are free at any moment to ignore/block the TC or hide the thread. Nobody made you run in here and try to derail. --- Just because I have 99% of a heart doesn't mean it can't kill me. It's tried.
