One might easily think it's the same as "chair", just with the vowel being an "oi" sound of sorts. But no, it's pronounced "kvai-er". Im glad Id only ever typed the word denouement and never had cause to say it aloud before finally hearing it pronounced, so I didnt end up sounding like an idiot.
