Is that going to be your go to every time? I also am able to separate my personal feelings from objectivity and history. Ikiru is undoubtedly a more important film, and likely even objectively better. My issue is I saw Living first, and it is very solid remake that mostly removes the last 30 minutes of Ikiru.
