Older movie =/= weaker character. What does make him a weaker character is that he's running on century old tech and using outdated armor plating. His ancient tech could make him somewhat impervious to quickhacks as it's so ancient the average netrunner probably doesn't know how to deal with it. And he's def able to tear Murphy's head off with ease. Or just crush it. And all of that before Murphy registers it as he's running on tech that probably isn't even able to run a NES emulator. ...
