Yeah, we all worry about regular street crime, abuse of power by police white collar crime, terrorism, or hell even crimes committed by our own government.

But I think people underrate the danger of organized crime.

Sure, the mafia isn't nearly what it once was but make NO mistake about it......it's still going and though they mainly commit financial related crimes these days they still aren't above killing people and putting hits out on people and their family. There are probably corrupt people in government that are also on their payroll as well as cops and judges.

Let's not forget the terrible drug cartel wars that are going on in Mexico right now that the media isn't really talking about. And guess what? A lot of these cartels are operating in the US too.

Having worked a prison and not being in the bloods good side and I live in blood territory yeah kinda. And yes bloods are organized crime by the textbook definition.

I also had a death threat put on me by a ms 13 member. Fortunately I don't think they are big around here.
